Namibia is one of the most memorable places that my husband and I have ever been to in the world. We built a trip around Namibia’s well-known but little-visited Skeleton Coast (LONG on my travel wishlist), where we marveled at the incredible landscape and desert-adapted wildlife. That was undoubtedly our favorite part of the trip, but we also greatly enjoyed seeing the different landscapes around Sossusvlei and Fish River Canyon. We wish we could’ve stayed longer, as Namibia is such a vast country with such diversity of wildlife, landscape and culture, and is really safe to travel around. Unfortunately, even with high quality paved roads, distances are too huge to cover within 6 days, and we had to be content with seeing only Sossusvlei and Fish River Canyon after the incredible Skeleton Coast tour. Given more time, we would have loved to spend more time in Damaraland, and to make the long trip up north to the remote Kunene River region bordering Angola, which is also close to where the Himba people live.

It’s really difficult to encapsulate the beauty and diversity of Namibia in words – and so I’ve done so in photos and a video here!
